Me and my husband were planning a short trip to any hill station but we did not want to travel to faraway places like Ladakh or Himachal. After some research, we thought of going to Mount Abu which is also the nearest hill station to our city, Ahmedabad. We wanted our trip to be taken care of by a professional which is why we started searching for travel companies online. We came across many sites, offering interesting packages but at extremely high prices. Then we found out about Thrillophilia and its pretty affordable packages for Mount Abu. The package was not just under our budget but it had everything we were looking for. Before booking, my husband wanted to make sure if this site can be trusted. So we also went through some Thrillophilia customer reviews which were really impressive. After reading about the lovely experiences of other customers, we finalized ‘Mount Abu Udaipur’ 5 days 4 nights package.
The person who was in-charge of our booking was extremely knowledgeable and kind. He provided us with all the necessary details and explained the entire itinerary. After completing all the formalities, we started packing for our trip to Mount Abu.
Our trip started from Udaipur where a representative of Thrillophilia was already waiting outside the airport for us. He greeted us, helped us with our luggage and offered some snacks and water, which was a really nice gesture. On the way, he kept informing us about some fun facts of the city as he was a localite. We reached our hotel which was truly spectacular. I still remember that beautiful hotel, its hospitality and excellent service. After taking some rest in our room, we got ready to visit our first destination in Udaipur, Lake Pichola. Of course our tour of the ‘City of Lake’ had to start with a visit to this popular lake. We spent a magical evening enjoying the lovely boat ride on the lake and witnessing the sunset.
We got up early the next day for our complete city tour. Our representative was on time and came to pick us up at our hotel. Our city tour included attractions such as Fateh Sagar Lake, Sahelion ki Bari, Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum, The City Palace, Maharana Pratap Memorial, Nehru Garden, Jagdish Temple and Sukhadia Circle. We had a Rajasthani Thali for dinner from a beautiful mud restaurant and then headed back to our hotel.
Finally, on our third day, we were going to our much-awaited destination, Mount Abu. We checked-out of our hotel, had our breakfast and then left for our next destination. On the way, we could notice that we were leaving past the bustling cities and entering into a more green and hilly landscape. We reached our hotel and completed our check-in formalities. Once again, Thrillophilia exceeded our expectations with its fine choice of accommodation. We headed to our room and wanted to take a rest after a long road journey. We woke up in the evening and went to the popular ‘Sunset Viewpoint’ in Mount Abu. The views were breathtaking and it was an unparalleled experience witnessing the sun go down and the sky changing its colors.
Our day 4 was going to be extremely busy as we had to visit so many attractions. Throughout the day, we visited popular places such as the Dilwara Jain temple, Achalgarh Fort, Adhar Devi Temple, Nakki Lake, Honeymoon Point and Art Gallery.
On day 5 it was our time to end the trip, pack our bags and return back home. After finishing our breakfast, we completed the check-out formalities and then our representative dropped us at the airport.
Overall Experience
First of all, kudos to the team of Thrillophilia for planning such extraordinary trips. We did not expect that we would have to pay so less for this trip and still experience the best of both the cities. The representative and customer service team was available to help us out with any queries or concerns.
